How to Avoid Duplicate Exports and Save Export Credits in RETR

We understand that export credits are valuable, and RETR includes several tools to help you avoid exporting the same real estate agents and loan officers (LOs) multiple times.

RETR has four built-in ways to avoid exporting the same real estate agents and loan officers (LOs) more than once:

  1. No duplicates on lists: RETR won’t add the same contact to a list twice.
  2. “Last Exported” column: see when each contact was last exported.
  3. Export status filter: hide contacts you’ve already exported.
  4. Free re-exports within 30 days: re-exporting a contact within 30 days costs no extra credits.

Does RETR Prevent Duplicate Contacts on a List?

Yes. RETR automatically blocks duplicates when you add agents or loan officers to a list. If a contact is already on the list and you try to add them again, RETR won’t create a duplicate. This keeps your lists clean and helps prevent accidental duplicate exports.

How Can I Tell If I’ve Already Exported a Contact?

Check the Last Exported column on your list. It shows the date each agent’s or loan officer’s information was most recently exported.

  • ✅ Last Exported history is kept for up to one year.
  • ✅ You can use it to decide whether a contact needs to be exported again.

How to Filter Out Previously Exported Contacts

Step 1: Open your saved list
Go to the agent or loan officer list you want to export.

Step 2: Use the filter options at the top of the list
Filter by export status to exclude contacts you’ve already exported.

Step 3: Export only new contacts
Export the filtered list to spend credits only on new contacts.

Note: Previously exported contacts stay on your list by default, so you can re-export them if you need to. Filtering just hides them from the current export.

Do Re-Exports Use More Export Credits?

Not always. Re-exporting the same agent or loan officer within 30 days of the last export is free.

When you re-export Credits used
Within 30 days of the previous export ✅ No additional credits
More than 30 days after the previous export Credits are used again

That way, you can refresh recently exported data without paying twice.
