How to Install the RETR Sidekick Chrome Extension for Gmail

    How to Install RETR Sidekick in Gmail

    Step 1: Open the Chrome Web Store listing
    Go to the RETR Sidekick listing on the Chrome Web Store.

    Step 2: Add the extension to Chrome
    Click “Add to Chrome.”

    Step 3: Open Gmail
    Open Gmail. The RETR Sidekick icon appears next to the Search bar. If you don’t see it, refresh Gmail.

Step 4: Log in to RETR
Click the RETR Sidekick icon and log in with your RETR account. If you don’t have an account, you can create a free one.

How does RETR Sidekick work in Gmail?

RETR Sidekick checks the email you’re reading or writing for email addresses and NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System) numbers. When it finds a match, it shows that person’s RETR data.

  1. Log in with your RETR account.
  2. Open an email. RETR Sidekick looks for email addresses and NMLS numbers in the message.
  3. See the match. If the person is in RETR’s database, their profile, Loyalty Score, and production stats appear in the sidebar.

What data does RETR Sidekick access?

  • ✅ RETR Sidekick sends only those email addresses and NMLS numbers to RETR to check for a match
  • ❌ RETR Sidekick does not send or store the content of your emails

Does RETR Sidekick for Gmail read my email content?

Yes, but only in your browser. RETR Sidekick reads your email locally to find email addresses and NMLS numbers. It does not send or store your email content anywhere. It sends only the email addresses and NMLS numbers it finds to RETR, to check for a match.

Do I need a RETR account to use RETR Sidekick?

Yes. A free RETR account gives you basic agent and loan officer lookups. RETR subscribers also get full transaction history.

Does RETR Sidekick work with Google Workspace accounts?

Yes, as long as your company’s extension policies allow it. If you use a company-managed Google Workspace account and RETR Sidekick doesn’t appear, ask your IT team to allow it.
